Subject: milter-link 1.4.0 and libsnert 1.73.16 released
After the announcement of SpamHaus DBL there has been a mad rush to
update software to support it, given that SpamHaus gave no early warning
to software developers about the protocol and list setup difference from
the existing SURBL / URIBL protocol.
The kludges added to milter-link and libsnert last week were clearly
inferior solutions, trying to shoe-horn dbl.spamhaus.org into the
existing uri-bl protocol.
After some discussion with colleagues, it became clear that the dnsList
API needed to be adjusted to support a new list lookup based on the DBL
protocol. Therefore a new list option, domain-bl, has been added to
milter-link, BarricadeMX, and uri CLI (-d) to provide better support.
In addition several bug fixes and enhancements have been made to the
behaviour of uri-ns-a-bl, uri-ns-bl, and links-test options.
Also, based on a request, I've back-ported from BarricadeMX, new
access-db "combo" tags have been added to milter-link to provide finer
granularity with respect to B/W lookups. Three types of combo tags
