Subject: Milter-null Problems

Removal...........: milters-request@milter.info?subject=remove
More information..: http://www.milter.info/#Support
--------------------------------------------------------

I just installed milter-null and it is not matching the message ID properly.
I think it is a problem with the cache file. I configured milter-null with
the default settings and had this problem. I reconfigured it with the
following options because I wanted to make sure that the cache file was
correct and that permissions were not an issue:

./configure --enable-cache-file=/var/cache/milter-null.db --enable-cache-typ
e=hash --enable-run-user=root --enable-run-group=root

Milter-null did not create /var/cache/milter-null.db. I created the cache
file by using: cd /var/cache; touch milter-null; makemap hash milter-null
< milter-null. It was not used by milter-null.

When milter-null checks the message ID, it always reports "expected
digest=e2374ffb9749cc478b9d7216ccf90d9b"

Here are the debug maillogs for a bounced message that was received in
response to a valid email to a non-existent email address:

All the other functions of milter-null seem to be working. It adds the
X-Null-Tag to outgoing messages. It checks incoming message against the
entries in /etc/mail/access.db. It whitelists all email except for email to
my uuism.net domain. Here is my access entries:

milter-null-Connect:localhost.localdomain       RELAY
milter-null-Connect:localhost                   RELAY
milter-null-Connect:127.0.0.1                   RELAY
milter-null-To:uuism.net        REJECT
milter-null-To:                 OK

I am running Fedora Core 2 with Sendmail 8.12.11, libmilter version 2(2),
BDB 4.2.52 and milter-null/0.2.7. There were no errors during compilation
with gcc 4.1.1, although there were a bunch of warnings, mostly mismatched
signedness.
